Vina Maquis - Red wine from Chile

The Origin of MAquis Lien

"The stars, land, water, spirit. In honor of our forebears, we strive to create a wine with a sense of place—origin."
- Ricardo Rivadeneira Hurtado, Managing Director and Winemaker

The Viña Maquis Estate is more than a century old. Located at the convergence of two rivers in the Colchagua Valley of Chile, this particular location benefits from a temperate Mediterranean climate that allows grapes to ripen more slowly—allowing complex flavors and aromas to form. After over 60 years of growing grapes for some of the most renowned wineries in Chile’s Colchagua Valley, the Hurtado family decided it was time to create their own wine in 2002. And in 2003, Maquis Lien was born, a distinctive red wine that expresses the story and origin of the vineyards and vintage of Colchagua.
